About the Song
This song started after a long week, on a good hair wash day. As I came out of the bathroom in my rose petal gown with music blasting loudly, a melody came to me. The chorus of this song was born in that moment. The lyrics were very different to what you’re hearing now, but the essence has always been the same.
“I’m just gonna wash my hair, dance in my robe, live in myself tonight.” As those words left my mouth, I knew I had to write it all down and that was that. Self Care Day was born.
